01THE SERVICE
Balıkolog is an iOS app that provides wind, wave, current, depth, twilight and species information for shore fishing. It is provided by Efecan Küçük (Mechaway). By using the app you accept these terms.
02ACCOUNT
When you create an account you must give an accurate email address that belongs to you. You are responsible for keeping your password safe. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
03NATURE OF THE INFORMATION
Forecasts, current and depth information in the app are model data and may contain errors. The data comes from Open-Meteo, DWD ICON-EU, NOAA GFS, Copernicus Marine and GEBCO.
In particular:
- The depth layer is an approximate model. It must not be used for navigation, anchoring or boat safety.
- The current is a model's estimate for a stretch of water. It does not show cove or eddy effects along the shore.
- The conditions verdict (fine / difficult / not advised), the best window, and the spot and species suggestions are for information only and do not guarantee a catch.
Rocks, breakwaters, strong currents and bad weather are seriously dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety. Always follow warnings from official sources such as the Turkish State Meteorological Service and the Coastal Safety Authority.
04REGULATIONS
The app summarises Turkey's recreational fishing regulations (Communiqué No. 6/2), such as minimum sizes, closed seasons and quantity limits. The official, current text is what is binding. You are responsible for complying with the regulations, restricted areas (e.g. military zones) and private property.
05ACCEPTABLE USE
You must not:
- Query the service in bulk with automated tools or overload the server
- Try to access another person's account without permission
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Add content to a public catch or comment that harasses another person, contains hate speech, or is unlawful
06INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND DATA ATTRIBUTION
The app, its design and content belong to Mechaway. Third-party data is used under its own licences, listed in the app under Profilim → VERİ KAYNAKLARI (data sources): CC BY 4.0 for Open-Meteo and DWD, plus the Copernicus Marine Service and GEBCO.
07PRICE
Balıkolog is currently free. If a paid feature is added, it will be announced in advance, and your existing free use will not be charged without your knowledge.
08LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by applicable law, no liability is accepted for damage arising from decisions made on the basis of the information in the app. This clause does not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
09TERMINATION
If these terms are seriously breached, the account may be suspended or closed. Catches and comments that are reported and found to violate the rules may be removed. You can write to destek@mechaway.tech to appeal a suspension or removal.
10GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. The mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live as a consumer remain unaffected.
11CHANGES AND CONTACT
